rare tropical perennial cactus
with an erect, shrubby growth habit. In mid-Spring, abundant lovely
solitary greenish-white blossom appear from the base of the areoles
followed later by small, glossy, round, white berries along the stem margins.
Pseudorhipsalis ramulosa fruits are long lasting and look very
decorative. Rhipsalis purpusii has green flat, foliage with
crenate margins; the leaves turns to a gorgeous red color when exposed
to more sun or bright light.
Cereus ramulosus
is easily propagated from seeds or woody stem cuttings. It
performs best in a sunny to part shade location, in well-drained soil.
Red Mistletoe Cactus grows fast and soon produces many branches.
Rhipsalis coriacea is low
maintenance and tolerates drought well.
Disocactus ramulosus
can be container cultivated to accent the patio or as an indoor
plant for the home or office.
Rhipsalis jamaicensis
looks ideal in hanging baskets, allowing the branches to drape
over the the sides of it. The colorful foliage of
Hariota ramulosa makes a wonderful gift especially during festive season.
Rhipsalis coriacea is an enjoyable and
delighful
cactus to grow.
Rhipsalis leiophloea easily strikes up a conversation. Rhipsalis
leiophloea stops human traffic in their tracks.
