Crassula perforata
or Necklace Vine or Pagoda Plant or Sosatieplakkie or String of Buttons
or Crassula anthurus or Crassula conjuncta or Crassula nealeana or Crassula
perfilata or Crassula petersoniae is a
tropical succulent plant with a slow, shrubby, sprawling growth habit. In late
Winter or early Spring Crassula anthurus bears tiny pale yellow blossoms.
It needs sun to produce flowers.
Pagoda Plant has interesting columnar foliage that are neatly arranged resembling the
look of a Pagoda at the tip of the branches.
Crassula perforata is easily propagated from
cuttings and dwells in
in peaty sandy soil in
a sunny to part shade environment.
This South African beauty is hardy to 20 degrees Fahrenheit and does not demand
much attention. Necklace Vine looks lovely in containers or mass plant in a rock
garden or border. Provide Crassula conjuncta mulch to retain moisture in hot weather. String of Buttons
tolerates some drought but does not tolerate frost. In colder areas, bring
Sosatieplakkie indoors for the Winter.
