Comments: Agave Americana 'Variegata' or Variegated Century Plant is an attractive
perennial xeriscaping plant for the dry landscaping garden.
Eventhough it may take a hundred years for it to bloom, this cactus shrub is
grown maninly for its large lovely rosette of variegated foliage. Variegated Century Plant
is majestic looking and it really makes an impact in the
garden because of its massive size. Agave Americana
'Variegata' is carefree and low
maintenance and very easy to grow from seeds or offset division. Plant it
in a location away from human traffic or children. Allow lots of space for Variegated Century Plant to grow as it will produce many
pups around the mother plant.
The seeds and plantlets are easily propagated in a pot or plant it directly in a
permanent location in the sunny to part shade landscape. For me,
Agave Americana 'Variegata' is a 'plant and forget about it' plant. Anyone
can grow one.
