Comments: Hippeastrum 'Nagano'
or Amaryllis Nagano
is a
sophisticated perennial bulb that loves to be pot bound. This
deer-resistant plant
is not
only beautiful but is also carefree, hardy and low-maintenance.
Plant Hippeastrum 'Nagano'
bulb with half of it
sticking out of the soil. In mid-Summer it produces clusters of fragrant
coral-apricot
flowers that are long lasting; these flowers attract birds, bees and
butterflies. After blooming, allow foliage to die
back completely.
Amaryllis Nagano' produces
offsets
which can be easily divided from the mother plant and propagated.
Bloom time is anywhere from 6-8 weeks. This gorgeous plant thrives well in the sunny to part
shade landscape. In colder areas, it can be container grown for indoor decoration.
Remove part of top soil next season and add new
soil over it and it will continue to multiply and bloom nicely for you. Mulch to protect from frost.
Hippeastrum 'Nagano'
is so pretty it will capture your heart. I
love it!
