Comments:  Wisteria sinensis or Chinese Wisteria climber is a low-maintenance, beautiful hardy plant with spectacular blooms. It is a native of China.  Wisteria sinensis grows rapidly, can be grown as a vine or trained as a shrub if you trim off the side shoots.  In mid-Spring, fragrant 9-12" long clusters of white blossoms appear before the foliage does.  There are 7 to 13 leaflets in the deciduous green leaves.   Use Wisteria sinensis as a living fence or allow it to climb up a trellis or wall as it twines counter-clockwise.  Provide support when young.  Trim Wisteria sinensis for shape and size. It self sows freely so deadhead to prevent any volunteer plants. Chinese Wisteria is a terrific show stopper.
