Family:  Rubiaceae

Comments:
Manettia cordifolia or Brazilian Firecracker Vine is a  lovely perennial vine with exotic small tubular blooms.  In late Spring, abundant small tubular red-orange blossoms appear, providing a glowy look to the plant.  Brazilian Firecracker Vine is easily propagated from seeds or offsets.  Manettia cordifolia performs best in sun to part shade landscape.  Manettia cordifolia can be container grown; provide support or allow it to climb up a trellis or arbor.  Brazilian Firecracker Vine performs best in morning sun and afternoon shade.
