'Edouard
desfosse' or Early, Large-Flowered Clematis is a category Type 2
for pruning; prune lightly right after the flowers are complete.
In the Spring, the everblooming charming blossoms appear; they are
blue-violet in color and has a satiny sheen. The size of the
Clematis
'Edouard
desfosse' flowers are as large as my palm. The flowers tend
to retain its color if plant is grown in part shade. Allow Early,
Large-Flowered Clematis to climb up a trellis to display its stunning
blossoms. I planted mine in a container and let it climb up the
patio and it has blossomed beautifully for me in Winter. I also mulched
the base of the vine well to keep the feet cool.
Clematis
'Edouard
desfosse' is a breathtaking vine for the arbor or screen dividers.
It also looks spectacular in hanging baskets. Early,
Large-Flowered Clematis is a definate traffic stopper.
