Blooms:  Magenta flowers, year-round.  Papery bracts surrounding true flowers

Water:  Let dry between watering

'Thai Delight' or Bougainvillea 'Coconut Ice' or Bougainvillea  'Imperial Delight' or Paper Flower is a brilliant looking care-free tropical perennial vine.  It can be trained as a shrub or grown as a beautiful climber on trellis or simply let it climb up a tree.  Paper Flower is disease resistant and it attracts birds, bees and butterflies especially the adult Zebra Longtail and Giant Swallowtail butterflies loves to feed on the nectar of he beautiful pale pink blossoms. Bougainvillea 'Thai Delight' makes a great groundcover in the xeriscaping garden as it can witstand drouht condition.  Grow it as a screen or in a trellis or container to accent the patio or deck or let it cascade down beautifully from a hanging basket. Protect Bougainvillea 'Coconut Ice' from frost.  Properly mulched, Bougainvillea will return the next season.  Do a hard prune before moving indoors.
