This is my collection of plants and scenery photos taken from my trips and vacations...

Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malaysia, discovered and built in 1892.

View of the front of Batu Caves, visited by many  tourists daily.  Every yeat, during the Thaipusam Festival,  the Hindus devotees visit the Batu Caves with their kavadis.  There are a total of 272 steps leading to the top of the cave.

A giant replica of an Indian deity at the base of a flight of steps leading to the caves

It was a strenuos climb but we defeated it!  We saw some monkeys on the way up and they were making themselves known.  We passed through a shrine in the Cathedral Cave, the largest of 3 caves that made up Batu Caves;  there was a ceremony going on. There was good lighting as sunlight was penetrating through them.

View from the top of the Batu Caves.  We ended our nice visit with each of us having a whole coconut to ourselves from which we slowly quench our thirst.

Jaya Putra in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

This lake in Jaya Putra is used by the ASEAN Olympic participants to practice their water sports.  It is located across from the Prime Minister's Departmental offices.

I saw this lovely tree with an unusual flower at the parking lot.  However, there were many giant red ants on it.

There was a nice mosque located in front of the lake.

I was told this is a cancer tree.  It has clusters of beautiful orange, yellow and red flowers.

This beauty was clinging on to a vine on an arbor.

The Lobster Claw was extremely stunning.

I do not know the name of this shrub but it sure was eye-catching.

At this part of the botany garden, there was a nice lake.
