Comments: Duranta
erecta 'Alba' or White-flowered Golden
Dewdrop or Honey Drops or Pigeon Berry or White Sky Flower is an attractive
ornamental shrub with a droopy growth habit. In Spring, it
produces slightly scented white nectar-rich flowers which are magnets
for butterflies. Duranta
erecta 'Alba'
flowers then turn into exotic golden colored berries hanging gracefully
from the branches; these berries are a fiesta for the songbirds and
pigeons. White Flower
Skyflower is thorny so plant it away from children. This lovely
perennial is easily propagated from seeds or stem cuttings. Honey
Drops thrives well in the sunny to part-shade
perennial landscape.
Grown en masse, these plants are ideal for hedges. Its delightful
white flowers attract many passerbys.
Duranta repens 'Alba' makes wonderful hedge plants';
it can also be
container grown.
