is a perennial tropical tree with
an upright, moderate growth habit. This New Zealand native has
graceful ,fountain-like grassy leaves.
In mid-Spring, garden planted tree will bear fragrant creamy-white
blossoms, followed later by either blue or white berries with seeds
inside. Cordyline indivisa can be propagated from seeds, air
layering, softwood cuttings or
root cuttings.
Seeds will take about
a month to sprout;
surface sow in July, ideally
at 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit
in well-drained, moist soil, providing light.
Blue Dracena
does not transplant well so plant it in a permanent sunny to part shade
location.
Grass Palm is
hardy to 32 degrees
Fahrenheit.
It is ideal for
centerpiece planting or in
flowering beds.
If plants get too tall, cut the top off and propagated by air layering
or root in soil so you will have extra plants; the top of the original
plant will grow new shoots. Older
Broad-Leaved

part of dried leaves are removed.
Container cultivated plants will be shorter in height; in colder areas,
it can be brought indoors and provide plant with bright indirect light.

it adds a tropical flair to the landscape. Plant en masse for a
