Comments:
Maranta leuconeura 'Beauty Kim' or Prayer Plant is a
small tropical or subtropical perennial plant with a compact, rhizomatous growth habit.
It has attractive ornamental leaves that stay open during the day but
fold up in the evening like praying. In Spring and Summer,
Maranta leuconeura 'Beauty Kim'
bears small white flowers. It is easily propagated from herbaceous
stem cuttings or rootball divisions.
Prayer Plant
thrives well in well-drained moist, sandy, loamy soil mixed with peat
moss in a light shade location. Feed
plant
weekly
with diluted half strength liquid fertilizer for optimum growth.

looks
ideal in hanging basket or in a shallow pot. Mass plant around
fountains or ponds as stunning groundcovers where they will enjoy being
in a moist location.
Maranta leuconeura 'Beauty Kim' makes a wonderful indoor plant
for the home; place it in a window where it recieves bright indirect
light. Needs protection from dry air and drafts to prevent leaves
from getting curly or having scotch spots. In Winter, it would thrive happily at a minimum
room temperature of 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Prayer Plant loves
humidity and enjoys being misted on hot Summer days. Maranta
leuconeura 'Beauty Kim' grows rapidly and baby
plants grow from the thick, basal rhizomes. Trim to promote a
more vigorous growth. Repot
