bio-filter perennial herb with creeping stolons and long
threadlike rootlets. In Summer, fragrant small
flat-topped white blossoms appear. This aquatic plant spreads fast and
can be easily controlled. Kois fishes love to feast on the
Water Celery leaves. Replenish Oenenthe stolonifera
when needed with new plants. Oenenthe javanica can be
easily propagated from divisions. Water Parsley
thrives well in part shade bog garden or small ponds.
Water Dropwort can also be container grown; provide abundant
moisture. Oenenthe
javanica leaves are edible and commonly used in Oriental
cooking.
